About the campaign

HyperHug made significant investments in improving Oxide: Survival Island, delivering major upgrades across the game, including improved graphics, new content, gameplay features and overall stability. With the game now in a much better state, the team wanted to reconnect with players who had left negative reviews during the game's earlier, less polished phase.

Using AppFollow's Enterprise automation, HyperHug sent personalized "reactivation" replies to approximately 50,000 reviews rated 1-4 stars that had never received a response. The campaign covered reviews from August 2021 through August 2025, inviting users to return and experience the improved version of the game.

HyperHug prioritizes player care by listening to every report and resolving issues fast, helping players feel supported through any in-game difficulties.
